Our Girl Grace

Our LID April 7th has FINALLY made it on Rumor Queen’s projections!  We need 4 to 5 days for the next 3 months to get our referral in November and hopefully travel in December!! Come on CCAA match those babies!!

Well it’s official,the CCAA matched only two days this month. They matched March 23rd – March 24th of 2006. We are April 7, 2006. We are 14 LID’s away from a referral.

We have reports that the CCAA is matching.

Referrals can show up tomorrow, or two weeks from now, there is no set time for how long they show up after we hear this. It is usually within a week, but not always.

Come on CCAA match! Match! Match!! We need lots of days this month. Remember we are 16 LID’s away from Grace!! I would love to see at least 4 days this month! Of course MORE is also better. Oh, how I so want my referral in October or November so we can have Grace home for Christmas!!  Match CCAA, Match!!

Yes, today is the 7th of the month and by now everyone knows this day is the anniversary of our paperwork being logged into China. Today marks the official 40th month of waiting.

We had our fingerprints re-done last week and our new approval I-171H arrived yesterday, that was quick. But not without adventure, the address was wrong! I spoke with our case worker who is contacting our government to see what needs to happen. We also talked about the new rules regarding amending your home study, basically having to re-do everything if the child you are referred doesn’t match your paperwork. We have asked for a girl, between the ages of 0-18 months. I will be devastated if we have to re-do all of our paperwork again, because we are referred a 19 or 20 month old daughter. I am now asking for specific prayers. Please pray that the People’s Republic of China entrust us with a daughter between the ages of newborn to 18 months. Thank you!!

On a lighter note, well actually it didn’t start out on a lighter note, I called to make a consultation appointment with the pediatrician we had wanted to see. Oh, guess what the doctors in that group, all except for one, don’t take new patients, unless they are newborns. I tried to drop a few names, mention one doctor goes to our church, tell them I felt discriminated against. Nothing. Then this week they called back and said one of the doctors I wanted would take Grace as a patient. Thank God!! I must admit it is starting to feel a bit more real,  but I know we are months away from our referral. I keep praying that we will have our daughter, age 0-18 months home for Christmas. How about that for knowing exactly what you want!!

Today marks is the 1217th day of waiting since our paperwork was logged in at the CCAA. Or another way to look at is, we have been waiting 3 yrs 3 months and 30 days exactly. Any which way you say it, it’s too DARN LONG!!
