Referrals Have Arrived..

The CCAA unofficially matched 6 days this month, from February 10th to February 15, 2006. They have not changed the internal website as they are on Holiday. Our agency received referrals for the two families with a LID of February 10th,2006. They received referrals for a 7 month and a 12 month old girls.

There are 51 days between us and a referral. Again, we ask for your prayers that the CCAA might continue to match a larger number of days each month. An update on the math, if they continue to match 6 days each month we have a 9 month wait, 8 days would give us about another 6-7 months to wait, 9 days would be about a 5-6 month wait and 10 days would give us about a 5 month wait. So I say lets go wild and pray for 12 days each month, that would give us a 4-5 month wait.
I would also like to say Thank you again for everyone who prayed for Fr. Bob, his family and our Parish family. We celebrated his funeral mass yesterday. It was a very moving and emotional service. He is loved dearly and will be greatly missed.. for he has touched the hearts of many.
No commentsOn Angels Wings He Has Been Raised Up….

It is with a heavy heart and tear filled eyes, I write to tell you that our Pastor Fr. Bob passed away this morning surrounded by his family. He has gone home to our Heavenly Father and will have eternal rest. Fr. Bob so bravely fought his battle with pancreatic cancer, he will suffer no more and all his pain has been taken away. We will miss you dearly Fr. Bob.
I want to thank all of you who prayed for Fr. Bob. I know he felt your prayers and support. Please continue to keep his family and our parish family in your prayers during this difficult time. I feel so blessed to have had him in our lives, he married Paul and I, baptized the kids, and presided over Paul’s Dads funeral. I am sad that he will not be able to baptize our Grace when we finally get her home from China. I know he will be watching and hopefully singing his beautiful song while she is being baptized. Fr. Bob you will always hold a special place in our hearts. We miss and love you.
Until we meet again…..
Continued Prayers Needed For Fr. Bob

Last evening our Parish family gathered together for a prayer service for Fr. Bob. He remains hospitalized in critical condition. We were informed yesterday that he is on a ventilator and in a induced coma. They have kept his body temperature below normal and will try to bring his temperature up today and see how he does. We will know more this afternoon. Simply put we are in need of a miracle……please pray.
No commentsUrgent Pray Request For Fr. Bob

As many of you have read on this site, our Pastor Fr. Bob, of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, had been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. He had been doing relatively well all things considered, until last evening. He collapsed in his home and was rushed to the hospital. He is not breathing on his own and remains on a ventilator. He is in critical condition and the outcome looks very grave. Fr. Bob’s family and the Bishop have been at his side. He is in urgent need of our prayers. If you belong to a church or prayer group please feel free to place his name on your prayer chain or prayer list. We gathered as a church family last night to pray. While we await further word of his condition, please take a moment to say a prayer or send a well wish for him. And selfishly I ask for prayers for our family and our parish family as well during this most difficult time. Thank you and blessings to all.
No commentsOne Finger Touch..
My very wise friend Megan stopped into the shop on Saturday morning before we opened so we could have coffee and get caught up. She is an amazing Mom of two beautiful children and I really respect her parenting style. She gets me and some of my silly questions and quirks regarding kids. She is going to (ok, already has been) be a wonderful resource for me. She was explaining how she taught her daughter the “One Finger Touch”. Every young child wants to explore, and when they see something new they often grab for it. Not when you use theĀ one finger touch. That way the child gets to touch the object, a plant, a baby, a toy etc. You are letting them explore, but in a much more controlled setting. I like that! I think I may even share it with the Mom’s who come into my shop!!

This is not Megan’s daughter-just a stock photograph.
