Go Blue!

It’s that time of year!! College football starts tomorrow and the University of Michigan opens at home against Utah! Here’s to a winning season. Paul is planning on taking Ben to the college open house and the game on September 27th. Who knows next year we may have a Son at Michigan and our daughter home from China! I have picked up a couple cute Michigan shirts/sweatshirts for Grace to wear. How fun would that be, visiting her big Brother in Ann Arbor all decked out in Maize and Blue! I can only imagine his response!! Go Blue! Go Wolverines!
No commentsAnniversary gifts…
As I had mentioned in the previous post, Paul brought me roses and chocolate to the shop on Wednesday for our Anniversary. We weren’t able to go out for dinner on Wednesday, so last night we celebrated our anniversary. I wanted the Kai-lan DVD, so before dinner we went to Walmart, (I know you’re thinking wow how romantic!!) to pick up the DVD. We did get it and now I can’t wait to watch it. When the show first aired on Nick TV, Paul was able to watch it, but I haven’t seen it.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO MY HUBBY!

Happy Anniversary Paul! I love you more than ever! Paul has to work tonight so we are going out tomorrow night to celebrate. He surprised me a the shop today with red roses, chocolate and a card! Too sweet! Here’s to many more years together!
No commentsReferral Time And It’s Goodbye to January 2006!

GOODBYE JANUARY 2006!
This month the CCAA matched families who had LID’s from January 26th to January 31st, that is six days. There were actually only 2 days worth of referrals, due to the CCAA being closed for the Chinese New Year. But we’ll take those days of the calendar, thank you!! It has taken the CCAA 6, six months from March to August to get through the month of January 2006. I pray that it doesn’t take them 6 months to get through February and six more months for March and then April!! We are 66 LID’s away from meeting Grace! That means if the CCAA matches 3 days a month we have 22 more months to wait, if they match 5 days a month, we have 13 months, if they matched 7 days we will have about 9 months to wait and if they were by the grace of God able to match 10 days or more, we would have a 6-7 month wait!! Come on CCAA match those days and babies. So let’s say goodbye to January 2006 and Hello to February 2006! And even more let’s pray for a speed up in matching so more families can be created!!

I just noticed there are several sixes in my post. Maybe that is a good sign!! Let’s hope!! After 28 months of waiting we need some sort of sign!!

The 2008 Olympic Games start today in China. It’s funny I thought for sure we when we started this process would have traveled to China and been back home with Grace before the 2008 Olympics. Not so… Our agency and many others feel the recent focus on China and the preparation for the games may have, in some way impacted the adoption referrals. We are all praying that once the Olympics are done and China is out of the spotlight, that the referral process will speed up. Wishing all the teams much success during the games. Go Team USA!
