Must have pacifiers…….

We obviously don’t know how old Grace will be when we receive our referral. But aren’t these pacifiers too cute. We have the pink set. I also have a green one that has the symbol for happiness and a yellow one to match with a butterfly/happiness on it.
1 comment100 Good Wishes Quilt – “Bai Jai Bei” Quilt
To welcome and celebrate a new life, there is a tradition in the northern part of China, to make a “Bai Jai Bei” or 100 good wishes quilt. It is a custom to invite family and friends to contribute a square of cloth with a wish/prayer for the new baby. The large square gets sewn into the quilt. A smaller piece of matching fabric along with a wish/prayer note card will go into a scrapbook. When Grace is older she will be able to see how many people joined us in prayer and well wishes to bring her home. She can match the note card with her quilt.
We have sent letters out to all our family and friends and are now posting it here. We would love to receive squares from our blogging friends. We invite you to share in Grace’s “Bai Jai Bei” quilt. Please choose a fabric that has a special meaning to you. The fabric square should be 10″ x 10″, made from 100% cotton fabric and pre-washed. The note card can be anything you would like, a prayer, well wish, a quote or just your family name. The card should be about 4×6 in size and one sided. The smaller fabric square for her scrapbook should be 2″ x 2″ of the same fabric. You can attach it to the note card.
Please email me, located at the top right hand side of the blog, for the address or if you have any questions. Thank you for wanting to share in our quilt for Grace. We know that in the years to come she will treasure each and everyone of you for being a part of her journey home to us!
Blessings,
Terri

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY…….

Happy Father’s Day to my husband Paul and to all the Dads, Grandpas, Uncles and soon to be Dad’s out there. Have a great day!!
No commentsEight days worth of referrals………..
The CCAA matched families with LID’s of January 13th to January 20th, 2006.That was 8 days worth of referrals. Our LID is April 7, 2006.
We are exactly

LID’s away from receiving our referral. There is already a rumor on Rumor Queen stating that next month will bring another big batch of days. Oh, how I pray the rumors are correct. At the rate of 8 days a month we have 10 more months to wait. Wouldn’t a speed up of about 13-14 days be wonderful. If that were to happen we might receive our referral in December of THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!! That would be the best Christmas present ever!! So once again please keep us, our daughter, the CCAA, the orphanages and all the children waiting for their forever families in your prayers.
