IN THE US THERE ARE 5 MILLION PEOPLE TODAY WHO WERE ADOPTED. MORE THAN 100,000 CHILDREN ARE ADOPTED EACH YEAR. No comments
19 Months…….
Let’s take a minute to recap the adoption process, Paul and I started t his process back in May of 2005, we began our official “Paperchase” in October of 2005 and our dossier was logged into China on April 7, 2006. We have had to re-do our fingerprinting twice, with a third time coming due in March, we’ve re-done our home study, physicals and several forms that our government requires. And still we wait, I must admit this month has been difficult. I truly thought that the CCAA would match more than 8 days. We are really helpless in this process, all we can do is continue to pray that China does not close the program before we receive our daughter and that they are able to speed up the matching process. It is going to be very difficult to celebrate another (our third) Christmas season without our daughter. I want to say thank you for all the love and support we have received from our family and friends. We couldn’t do it without you.
Referrals Are Here… Are we done with 2005 YET?
Well the CCAA matched 8 days worth this month. That is a small improvement over the last few months of 3-5 days. I am still praying for a speed up. Can we please finish up with the year 2005 and get into the 2006 LID’s PLEASE!! There are 121 days between December 8,2005 and our LID of April 7, 2006. If the CCAA continues to match at 8 days we have another 15 months to wait, if they matched 10 days from here out we would have another 12 months to wait. And if by the grace of God they would speed up to 12 days we would have 10 more months to wait. And finally, if they did 15 days each month we would only have 8 more months to wait…..Please, please, please speed up. We so want to bring our daughter home!! We can only pray that they speed up!! Congrats to all the families who will see their babies faces tomorrow.
