The Long Journey To China

Archive for February, 2007

Ouch!

Paul and I went today to the Health Department today and started our Hepatitis A vaccinations in preparation for our travel to China. We have to go back in 6 months and get the second shot. My arm is already sore!

Hepatitis A is a serious liver disease caused by the hepatitis A virus. The virus is found in the stool of an infected person. It is usually spread by close personal contact and sometimes by eating or drinking water containing hepatitis A. The virus can easily be passed to others within the household.

Hopefully we will be all set!

Doesn’t this just sum up the adoption process…

A Journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.

Our Ten Month Anniversary of LID To China

TEN MONTHS AND WAITING………..

chinese10bmp.jpg

Today, February 7, 2007 is the 10 month anniversary of our paperwork being logged into China. When we started this process we had anticipated receiving our referral in about 6-9 months. However, due to several factors in China the process has slowed way down. We continue to hope and pray that we will receive our referral before the end of the year. We are all so anxious and excited to bring our daughter home. We ask that you remember the children in China and around the world and that they to may find the love and support of a forever family. May the miracle of adoption continue to reach out and touch the hearts of many.

New Referrals

February 2, 2007-The CCAA website has finally updated and the stork has landed. Congratulations to all who received their referrals. A special “Congratulations” to AAI group 124 who had to wait an extra month. Ten more groups to go, until it is our turn. And hopefully next month our dossier will be out of the review room and onto the matching room.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR FRIENDS KRISTIN AND BLAINE WHO RECEIVED THEIR BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER. MUCH LOVE AND HAPPINESS AS YOU BEGIN YOUR JOURNEY AS A FAMILY.
